Sofía Vergara Says Having Kids Is ''Not a Priority'' for Her and Joe Manganiello, but if It Happens...(ENTERTAINME NEWS)

Sofía Vergara is now a mother, yet since Joe Manganiello isn't a father, she has fielded a ton of inquiries concerning whether having children together is in their future.

"When you're with some person that hasn't had children, and you need to begin a relationship, obviously there's dependably that question," the Hot Pursuit star and Cosmo for Latinas Summer 2015 glamor girl told the magazine in a late meeting.

"Also, in the event that it happens, it will be something that will fulfill us, however its not a need in our lives."

The dazzling couple got connected with around Christmas time after scarcely five months of dating.

"My son, Manolo, is 23 years old, which is going to be really weird if I have another baby," Vergara told Vanity Fair earlier this year when asked about the possibility of more children, adding, "But, you know, Joe wants babies and if it's going to make him super-happy, then..."

But now, as she told Cosmo, it will make them happy.

As for Manolo, he remains the apple of his mother's eye. "I think it's so hard to raise kids nowadays and he has grown up to be so respectful and responsible," Vergara gushed.

The Modern Family star raised Manolo as a single working mom (in addition to acting and modeling she started a talent agency specializing in Latino and Latina entertainers that she still co-owns to this day), and it sounds as though achieving fame as a result of her success has just been the icing on the cake.

"Sometimes you want fame to go away a little bit, because you want to do normal things," Vergara explained. "I think I'm old enough that I've already enjoyed all of it, so if it goes away, I think I'm still going to be OK. It was never really what I was looking for—it wasn't even being an actress or being famous—it was just supporting myself and making money and doing a business for myself."

Asked about the experience of being a Latina actress in Hollywood, she said, "There aren't as many roles for Latinas as we would want there to be, but we shouldn't be complaining because a Latin girl just won a Golden Globe, a Latin director just won an Oscar. We should be very happy that there are people out there who are doing things and being recognized."

Hot Pursuit co-star Reese Witherspoon also sang her praises to Cosmo, saying Vergara "has the most incredible comic timing."

"Her sense of humor is completely based on making fun of her sexy Latin image and people love her for that," Witherspoon said. "It's one thing to be as beautiful as she is, it is another to know how to make everyone fall in love with you. And you do fall in love with her. She is just so warm and charming. It is her nature to make you immediately want to be her best friend."

But alas, as close as they've gotten on the publicity circuit, it doesn't sound as though Reese is going to make it into the bridal party when Sofía and Joe tie the knot.

"In Latin America we don't have bridesmaids, we only have flower girls," Vergara said.

The summer 2015 issue of Cosmo for Latinas is on newsstands May 19—and Hot Pursuit is in theaters now.
